Light Rail

Light rail (LRT) describes urban rail in German-speaking countries.

It is primarily responsible for passenger transportation and focuses in particular on short routes within a city. In doing so, it actively participates in urban road traffic by means of a rail network on the street. The distances between stops are correspondingly short, and in addition - unlike heavy rail - it does not always have right of way.
